IC Funded Relaunches Under IC Markets Leadership

IC Markets relaunches its proprietary trading division, IC Funded, as the company moves to strengthen its position in the rapidly expanding prop trading industry. According to reports from Finance Magnates, the platform has now gone live through its official website, marking the return of the project after it remained on hold following its original launch in 2024. IC Markets initially introduced IC Funded during the peak of the retail prop trading boom. 

However, the company later paused operations while searching for an experienced leadership team capable of building a sustainable long-term business model. Earlier this year, the broker appointed Petros Kalaitzis to lead the division. Kalaitzis previously held roles at FunderPro, Tools for Brokers, NAGA, Tickmill, Saxo Bank, and eToro, bringing significant industry experience to the role.

Speaking about the relaunch, Kalaitzis said, “Over the past several months, we’ve focused heavily on rebuilding and strengthening the foundations of IC Funded ahead of the relaunch.” He added that the company concentrated on improving infrastructure, trader experience, operational efficiency, execution quality, and risk management. Moreover, he explained that the team refined the overall operating model to support “long-term sustainability and scalability.”

Furthermore, IC Funded plans to differentiate itself in an increasingly competitive prop trading market by emphasizing transparency, professional risk management, and stable trading conditions. Kalaitzis stated, “Our objective is to position IC Funded as a serious long-term player in the prop trading space, backed by the experience, technology, and global ecosystem behind IC Markets.” 

The company will initially target key international markets, focusing on disciplined and consistency-driven traders rather than encouraging high-risk speculative trading. In addition, Kalaitzis noted that the prop trading industry continues to mature globally, creating significant long-term growth opportunities for firms that can maintain operational stability and trader trust.
