IC Markets Strengthens Australian Operations with New Leadership Team after appointing several senior executives. The move follows the passing of former General Manager Ben Singleton late last year and reflects the company’s commitment to growth in its home market. The company’s renewed leadership structure aims to reinforce its presence in its home market and accelerate growth through strong local expertise and innovation.

IC Markets has appointed Peter Tardent as the new General Manager for Australia. With more than 20 years of experience across trading, brokerage, and technology, Peter brings a wealth of industry knowledge. Before joining IC Markets, he served as Enterprise Solutions Leader at ViewTrade and previously worked as General Manager, Sydney at IG Group. He also held senior roles at JBWere, AUSIEX, and CommSec.

Peter stated, “IC Markets has always been recognized for its strength in innovation and customer experience. We’re now building on that foundation with a strong local leadership team that brings deep industry experience and a shared commitment to growing the IC Markets brand and client base in Australia.” 

IC Markets Strengthens Australian Operations with New Leadership

In addition to Tardent, several key executives have joined the leadership team. Gordon MacArthur has taken on the role of CFO, bringing experience from Optiver, Macquarie Group, Tibra Capital, HSBC, and PwC Australia. Ajay Bhatia steps in as Head of Compliance, adding decades of regulatory and compliance experience from institutions such as CMC Markets, Axi, EML, UOB, and MoneyGram. Furthermore, Peter Murphy has joined as Operational Risk Manager after serving at Deutsche Bank, UBS, and Instinet, where he was COO, Australia, and Head of Operational Risk Management, Asia. 

Meanwhile, Bao Huynh assumes the role of Country Marketing Manager, joining from Allianz Retire+, where he led digital marketing initiatives. He also held senior marketing roles at 26 Degrees, Morningstar, and Perpetual Limited. Additionally, Constance Koullinos returns to IC Markets as Head of HR after her tenure at consulting firm Amplify HR. 

These new leaders join Brendan Ray, who oversees Operations for IC Markets in Australia, as the company continues to strengthen its local presence. With this refreshed team, IC Markets demonstrates its ongoing commitment to innovation, customer excellence, and sustainable growth in the Australian market.
