Interactive Brokers Expands Crypto Trading With New Tokens

Interactive Brokers Group expands its crypto trading as it adds Solana (SOL), Cardano (ADA), Ripple (XRP), and Dogecoin (DOGE) alongside Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), Litecoin (LTC), and Bitcoin Cash (BCH), providing investors broader access to digital assets.

Clients with an account at Zero Hash LLC can trade SOL, ADA, XRP, and DOGE, while those with an account at Paxos Trust Company can access SOL. The new integration allows eligible clients of Interactive Brokers LLC and Interactive Brokers (U.K.) Limited to trade these cryptocurrencies seamlessly alongside stocks, options, futures, currencies, bonds, and mutual funds across more than 160 global markets. 

Investors can now establish spot cryptocurrency positions while managing their risk through crypto futures, options, and ETFs. With a unified interface displaying all balances and positions, portfolio and cash management becomes more streamlined.

Emphasizing the benefits of this expansion, Steve Sanders, EVP of Marketing and Product Development at Interactive Brokers, stated, “Adding these new tokens gives our clients even more flexibility to diversify their portfolios and take advantage of opportunities across digital assets.” He further highlighted that this move aligns with the firm’s dedication to providing a “comprehensive and efficient trading experience” supported by a low-cost structure and advanced trading tools. 

Clients using the Interactive Brokers platform can now trade cryptocurrencies around the clock, hold both USD and digital assets in their accounts, and place non-marketable limit orders for better execution control. Additionally, they can withdraw cryptocurrencies to external wallets, offering enhanced flexibility.

Cryptocurrency trading remains accessible to eligible clients of Interactive Brokers LLC and Interactive Brokers (U.K.) Limited, though product availability may vary by region.
