Interactive Brokers Expands Mutual Fund Marketplace Offerings

Interactive Brokers has broadened the array of investment products available on its Mutual Fund Marketplace, further enhancing its appeal to global investors. The new offerings include a selection of international and U.S.-based fund families, extending access to various investment options. 

The expanded roster includes prominent global fund managers such as Allianz Global Investors (AE), ANDBANK SGIIC (ES), Artemis Fund Managers Limited (GB), AXA Investment Managers UK LTD (GB), Cape Wrath Capital Ltd. (GB), JP Morgan Funds Ltd. (GB), SURA AM (GB), and Waystone Management Company Ltd. (IE). 

U.S. investors can also access the New Age Alpha Trust and other newly available funds. This expansion builds on the platform’s existing capabilities, including a broad selection of funds from over 600 fund families.

Interactive Brokers’ Mutual Fund Marketplace now offers over 43,000 funds to clients in more than 200 countries and territories. The platform hosts diverse investment products from significant names such as Allianz, American Funds, BlackRock, Fidelity, Franklin Templeton, Invesco, MFS, and PIMCO. 

This variety of options allows investors to tailor their portfolios to meet their individual needs, whether seeking low-cost index funds or actively managed portfolios. Regarding fees, Interactive Brokers stands out for its competitive pricing structure. The firm does not charge custody fees, and over 18,000 funds on the platform have zero transaction fees. 

When transaction fees do apply, they are kept low and transparent. For U.S.-based investors, commissions are capped at USD 14.95 or 3% of the trade value, whichever is lower. For international transactions, fees are EUR 4.95 (or the equivalent in local currency). This cost structure aims to provide an accessible and cost-effective solution for investors worldwide.
