Interactive Brokers Launches TWS Build 10.44 Beta

Interactive Brokers has introduced build 10.44 (beta) of its Trader Workstation (TWS) platform, bringing new functionality designed to improve how traders view market data. The latest update focuses on enhancing visibility for U.S. stocks and warrants by enabling fractional last size display, a feature that can help users interpret trading activity with greater precision.

As the firm continues to refine its trading tools, this update reflects its ongoing push to provide more detailed and customizable platform experiences. With the new build, TWS now supports fractional last size values, allowing traders to see more granular trade size information. To activate the feature, users must navigate to the Global Configuration menu and scroll to the Display Settings section.

From there, traders should select the “Last Size Extra Decimal” option and specify the maximum number of decimal places they want the platform to show. After configuring the preferred settings, users press “Apply” and “OK” to save the changes. Consequently, the updated fractional values will appear directly within the Watchlist or Portfolio panels, improving real-time trade monitoring. Moreover, the update maintains compatibility with existing advanced configurations.

If a user has already set a Size Divisor under Advanced settings, the fractional display mode will automatically activate when Presets are opened. This ensures that experienced traders who rely on customized sizing rules can continue their workflows without interruption. At the same time, new users gain a clearer view of trade sizes, which may support more informed decision-making. 

Overall, the release of build 10.44 (beta) demonstrates Interactive Brokers’ continued commitment to platform refinement. By adding fractional last-size visibility and preserving advanced configuration behavior, the firm strengthens TWS’s analytical capabilities while keeping the user experience streamlined and flexible.
