eToro Expands CopyTrader Access to US Investors

eToro has launched its patented CopyTrader technology for US investors. Starting today, American investors can instantly replicate the investment strategies of real US traders across stocks, ETFs, and cryptoassets, further enhancing their access to social investing opportunities. 

Commenting on the launch, eToro Co-Founder and CEO Yoni Assia stated, “We are excited to bring one of eToro’s most recognized features to the world’s largest retail investing market. CopyTrader enables millions worldwide to replicate the trades of other investors, and now American investors can too.” He added that the feature “allows users to leverage other investors’ expertise at the click of a button with no management fees or hidden costs.”

The CopyTrader feature allows users to automatically mirror other traders’ portfolios in real time, ensuring a seamless integration into any investment strategy. Once a user selects and copies a trader, their portfolio immediately replicates that trader’s moves. Moreover, any future adjustments made by the chosen trader automatically reflect in the user’s account, maintaining perfect alignment and proportional balance.

Importantly, CopyTrader empowers investors to analyze detailed performance histories, explore various investment strategies, and learn new approaches from experienced traders. Users can copy up to 100 investors simultaneously and adjust their funds or stop copying at any time, maintaining full control over their portfolios. 

Andrew McCormick, Head of eToro US, emphasized the community-driven vision behind the move, saying, “Over the past 15 years, CopyTrader has been empowering retail investors across the globe. We are thrilled that our US customers will now be able to copy other US investors’ strategies across stocks, ETFs, and crypto. We believe in the power of shared knowledge and that we are better together. CopyTrader exemplifies that belief.” The rollout begins with a select group of users as part of a phased introduction. 

eToro shared this development during its annual Investor Summit, which gathered top investors from around the world to celebrate 15 years of social investing. Alongside the CopyTrader launch, eToro also introduced its public APIs and announced plans for a future App Store designed to let developers create and share investment tools with millions of users worldwide.
