eToro Reports Surge in AI Investment Adoption
Commenting on the findings, eToro’s Global Market Strategist Lale Akoner said, “Two and a half years after ChatGPT appeared, AI has taken center stage across many areas of life, including investing. For retail investors, this technology is breaking down barriers by providing advanced analytics and detecting trends, empowering them to make more informed decisions and leveling the playing field.”
The research also found that AI is now the top area investors want to learn about in the coming year, with 23% planning to deepen their understanding. This was followed by cryptoassets and blockchain (22%), tax rules (18%), and ETFs (17%). Millennials and Gen X lead in AI learning interest, while Gen Z shows slightly more curiosity toward crypto and blockchain. Akoner further noted, “Retail investors know AI isn’t just a buzzword. Many have already seen its potential but also understand the challenges it brings, such as algorithm complexity and data accuracy. That’s why ongoing learning remains key.”
Additionally, optimism around AI-related stocks continues to grow. Over half of retail investors (55%) expect AI stock prices to increase in 2025. Akoner concluded, “Retail investors see AI not just as a tool but as one of the most powerful growth stories, driving innovation and profitability worldwide.”
